The Christian County Health Department is accepting
applications for a full-time Health
This position serves under the direction of the Health
Education Coordinator. Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: Attend orientation sessions to develop an
understanding of the role of health educator. Meet with members of the
community to establish a working relationship and become familiar with
community resources. Assist in
exchanging information with various organizations and agencies concerning
health needs of the community and assist in assembling materials to be
utilized. Gather health information for
the public relative to the specialized program.
Distribute health education materials by a variety of methods. Provide services according to the guidelines
set by the Core Clinical Service Guide (CCSG) /Administrative Reference (AR). Participate as an active team member, having
a basic understanding of the team process. Must represent the health department
in a positive manner and be an active participate in accreditation and quality
improvement efforts. Demonstrate an awareness of public service announcements
(PSA) and assist in writing public service announcements for radio and
television. Submit written material to supervisor
for approval. Collect and analyze data
for health program needs.
Training or Experience: Bachelor
Degree and one (1) year of health related or education experience.
Education, Training or Experience:
Master’s Degree or Bachelor Degree in health or human services fields
will substitute for one (1) year experience required. A professional license in the health or human
services field will substitute for an additional year of experience.
Starting Salary: $15.51 – $19.36/hr negotiable within this
range based on additional experience and education. Grade 15
may be obtained at the Christian County Health Department, 1700 Canton Street

Local Health Nurse I (RN) on an ongoing basis.
This position serves under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide basic entry level nursing care and assessments to the client consistent with the Core Clinical Services Guide (CCSG), Nursing Standards of Practice and established policies, procedures and licensing laws; document services provided to the client according to standards of the CCSG and Administrative Reference (AR); maintain confidentiality and privacy according to HIPAA and agency guidelines; develop and conduct educational counseling and teaching activities for individual clients and families; utilize basic awareness of community resources and complete required trainings.
Minimum Education, Training or Experience:
Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).
: $17.10 - $21.34/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 15
