Clinical Program Director.

The Christian County Health Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Director of Nursing who will serve as the Clinical Program Director.

 

This position serves under the direction of the Public Health Director.  Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to; Plan, organize, and direct financial management of a comprehensive public health nursing program.  Serve as an expert nursing resource person, with extensive level of experience, judgment and independent application on all matters pertaining to nursing.  Establish, interpretand disseminate agency and state protocols with interpretation of statutes and regulations that impact public health nursing.  Review and update all nursing care policies and procedures.  Participate in the development and administration of budgets.  Collaborate with Directors, Board of Health and community partners to develop service plans to assist in meeting communityhealth care needs.  Assign and oversee activities of APRNs, Nurse Supervisors, Administrative Services Manager, Support Services Department and indirectly other nursing and agency staff.  Assess staffing utilization and needs.  Participate in the recruitment, selection and evaluation of agency personnel.  May provide for orientation of new staff members.Actively participate in performance management, quality assurance/improvementand utilization reviews.  Represent the agency at local, regional and state meetings and in making public health presentations. Must be willing to work overtime when needed and actively participate in preparedness activities.The selected candidate will be a team player with excellent leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate others.  Also required are strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a desire to serve the public with a commitment to excellence in customer service.  The selected candidate will have impeccable standards of confidentiality and a strong work ethic. This position offers health, life, and dental insurance, retirement,paid holidays, personal and sick leave. Hours are typically 8:00 a.m. – 4:00p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: Bachelor Degree in Nursing and five (5) years of Registered nurse (RN) experience of which two (2) years include supervisory experience. Preferencewill be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree and 10 years of experienceof which at least five (5) years include management and supervisory experience.

 

Substitution for Education, Training or Experience: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Education or PublicHealth may substitute for one (1) year of experience. 

 

Special Requirements:  (Age, Licensure,Regulation, Etc.)  Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state.

 

Starting Salary:  Grade 25, $23.96 -$30.86/hour depending on experience.  Experience and education must beincluded on the employment application to be considered.

Local Health Nurse I (RN)

The Christian County Health Department accepts applications for the position of :

Local Health Nurse I (RN) on an ongoing basis.

This position serves under the direction of the Nurse Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide basic entry level nursing care and assessments to the client consistent with the Core Clinical Services Guide (CCSG), Nursing Standards of Practice and established policies, procedures and licensing laws; document services provided to the client according to standards of the CCSG and Administrative Reference (AR); maintain confidentiality and privacy according to HIPAA and agency guidelines; develop and conduct educational counseling and teaching activities for individual clients and families; utilize basic awareness of community resources and complete required trainings.
 
Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).

Starting Salary:  $17.10 - $21.34/hr negotiable with additional experience.  Grade 15
