Director of Administrative Services

The Christian County Health Department is accepting applications for a full time Director of Administrative Services to serve as the Assistant Director.

 

General Duties include:  This position serves under the direction of the Director.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overall responsibility for the administrative services and functions to provide support of the day to day operation of the agency and meet the various federal and state requirements; operations for financial management, personnel administration, purchasing, facilities management, data processing, inventory control, contract services, leases, procurement of goods, services, land, real property, etc; determine program needs and directions; develop operating policies and procedures; supervise subordinate personnel including: hire staff, determine workloads, delegate assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions to include terminations; coordinates the agency’s accreditation and quality improvement efforts; represents the agency in a positive and professional manner.

 

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: Master’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Public/Community Health, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Industrial or Labor Relations.  Four(4) years experience in an administrative or management capacity, where finance, budgeting, personnel, or other health related planning responsibilities have been demonstrated.

 

Substitution for Education, Training or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Business/Public Administration, Public/Community Health, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Industrial orLabor Relations, and one (1) year of experience in an administrative or management capacity where finance, budgeting, personnel, or other healthrelated planning responsibilities have been demonstrated will substitute for the required education.

 

Starting Salary$22.31 - $28.65/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 24

Human Resource Assistant

The Christian County Health Department is accepting applications for a full time Human Resource Assistant. 

 

General Duties include:  This position serves under the direction of the Assistant Director.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain a personnel system according to merit system regulations for the local health department; complete correspondence and necessary documentation for personnel actions; initiate personnel action requests according to policy for submittal through the automated network to the Department for Health Services; make arrangements for appropriate newspaper advertisements, schedule interviews, and answer questions from applicants regarding recruitment and selection activities; prepare appropriate reports such as worker’s compensation, equal employment opportunity, unemployment insurance, and special reports; maintain personnel records; assist with administrative functions such as scheduling and coordinating conferences,trainings and meetings, and other administrative assistant duties as assigned; advise and consult with employees regarding personnel questions and policies; actively participate in the agency’s accreditation and quality improvementefforts; represent the health department in a positive and professional manner.

 

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Requirements:  High school diploma or GED and five (5) years experience in personnel activity, payroll or closely related activity. 

 

Substitution for Education, Training or Experience: Additional related education/training may substitute for experience required on a year for year basis.

 

Starting Salary$10.70 – $13.27/hr.  Grade 13

Local Health Nurse I (RN)

The Christian County Health Department accepts applications for the position of :

Local Health Nurse I (RN) on an ongoing basis.

This position serves under the direction of the Nurse Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide basic entry level nursing care and assessments to the client consistent with the Core Clinical Services Guide (CCSG), Nursing Standards of Practice and established policies, procedures and licensing laws; document services provided to the client according to standards of the CCSG and Administrative Reference (AR); maintain confidentiality and privacy according to HIPAA and agency guidelines; develop and conduct educational counseling and teaching activities for individual clients and families; utilize basic awareness of community resources and complete required trainings.
 
Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).

Starting Salary:  $17.10 - $21.34/hr negotiable with additional experience.  Grade 15
