Our Health Education department offers numerous programs as we continue to educate and meet community needs. Take a look at these additional programs and services we provide.
Childbirth Education Classes (Spanish)
Childbirth, especially for new parents can seem a little overwhelming. The CCHD offers Spanish childbirth education classes for those individuals who need guidance in the labor and delivery room.
Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby's risk of having asthma or allergies. Plus, babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea. For those mothers who seek guidance when breastfeeding, the CCHD offers one on one breasfeeding consultation as well as breastfeeding classes.
CPR/First Aid/BLS Certification
For those seeking to obtain their CPR/First aid or BLS certification, the CCHD provides a convenient method to meet your needs.
